At the dawn of the 21st century, it is important for students to realize the impact of the international environment on the people of the world. As we become more and more globally interconnected, we must come together in order to find solutions to the environmental problems we are now facing. The growing population, its increasing impact on the planet, and the inability on earth to sustain life adversely affects the quality of air, water, land, and the resources that must be shared by the global community. If we do not find solutions to these problems, the quality of life we are leaving for the next generation is going to be significantly diminished.
